Tailored In Stone

The design concept for this project centered on reconciling a contemporary, minimalist aesthetic with the home’s more traditional architecture. The kitchen cabinetry incorporated a mix of materials across slab-style doors, including bleached walnut, velvet matte laminate, bronze metal, glass, and a plaster hood. Together, these elements introduced warmer, softer finishes within a contemporary application. In the primary bathroom, the soaking tub was clad in slabs of Calacatta Bluette marble. Vintage glass light fixtures were incorporated throughout the home to balance the more contemporary elements.
